The National Park is organized in several departments:
Office of the Director General
Office of the Director General is responsible for all administrative, specialist and protocol-related activities of the Director General as well as correspondence with state and local government bodies and other natural and legal entities.

Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Zagreb in 1999. She is living in Brinje.
National Park Conservation, Promotion and Use Department
National Park Conservation, Promotion and Use Department performs tasks related to preparation and implementation of the Management Plan, annual Protection, Maintenance, Preservation and Utilization Programs, and it also takes care of Program-related investments. The Department organizes and coordinates scientific and specialist work, databases and GIS on the Park’s natural and cultural values, it sets up and implements monitoring of the Park’s living and inanimate nature, develops and carries out programs in connection with visiting, promotion, education and interpretation systems and performs other specialist tasks. The Conservation Department employs five staff members and is lead by the conservation manager.
Svjetlana Lupret-Obradović, graduated engineer of biology – ecology – head of Department
Born in 1970 in Sisak. Graduated from the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb. Worked as an associate in the Regional Environmental Centre for middle and eastern Europe, and as a guide in Lonjsko polje Nature park. During her studies and after she was active in several expert organisations and participated in domestic and international projects related to nature protection and education on biodiversity conservation. Employed in the Institution since its beginning of work in 2001. She is living in Krasno.
Dubravka Kljajo, graduated engineer of geology, master of economy – senior expert advisor – geologist
Born in Virovitica. Graduated form the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Zagreb, orientation hydrology – geology engineering. Worked in the company Kamen from Velika, naturalist organisation “Ljekovita Biljka”, a marketing research agency, a bank and an insurance company. Since 2002 employed in Northern Velebit NP Public Institution. Earned a master in Economy in 2008. She is living in Krasno.
Irena Krušić Tomaić, graduated engineer of forestry – expert advisor – forester
Born in 1978 in Zagreb. Graduated form the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Zagreb. She did her trainee work in the Forest Office Ivanska, Forest Administration Bjelovar. After that she got employed as a teacher of professional subjects in the Gračac secondary school. She is an active mountaineer and rock climber. Employed in the Institution since 2007. She is living in Krasno.
Tea Šilić, graduated engineer of biology – ecology – expert advisor – biologist – ecologist
Born in 1982 in Zagreb. Graduated from the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb, orientation biology – ecology. During her studies she was active in the the Biology Students Association – BIUS and the Croatian herpetological Society Hyla. Worked for a short time in the Faculty of Science as a teacher's assistant. Employed in the Institution since 2007. She is living in Krasno.
Irena Glavičić Sertić, graduated economist – expert advisor for promotion
Born in 1975 in Senj. Graduated from the Faculty of Economy at the University of Rijeka, after which she has worked as an independent craftsman. She worked in the Employment service and the Tax Department in Senj. Employed in the Institution since 2005. She is living in Senj.
Ranger and Technical Services Department
Ranger and Technical Services Department is responsible for direct supervision and control of implementation of protection activities in the Park. The Department staff is also involved in tasks related to drawing up of project and technical documents, maintenance of the Park’s infrastructure, movable and immovable property. They participate in development and implementation of the Management Plan and annual programs and provide a significant technical and on-site support in implementing scientific and specialist research and monitoring projects, setting up of databases and other similar tasks. The Ranger Department employs six people and is led by the Head Ranger.
Ljiljana Tonković, bachelor of gamekeeping and environmental protection – head of Department
Born in 1968 in Senj. Graduated from merchant secondary school in Otočac, after which she worked in food and accommodation services. Employed in the Institution since 2006, and in 2010 she graduates from the Bachelor Study of Gamekeeping and Environmental Protection at the Karlovac University of Applied Sciences. She is living in Senj.
Mirko Vukušić, mechanic-locksmith – ranger of the III. kind
Born in 1980 in Gornja Klada. Graduated from the mechanic-locksmith secondary school in Senj, and in 2002 got employed as a ranger in Northern Velebit NP PI. He is a talented amateur photographer and his favourite motif is – nature! He is living in Gornja Klada.
Ivica Krmpotić, electronics technician – ranger of the III. kind
Born in Senj in 1976, where he graduates from the electrotechnical secondary school, orientation electronics. Worked in wood manufacturing industry in Senj and in tourism and food and accommodation services. He is an active member of the Voluntary Fire Brigade Senj. Since 2003 employed in the Northern Velebit NP Public Institution. He is living in Senj.
Adam Rukavina, forestry technician - ranger of the III. kind
Born in 1976 in Sveti Juraj. Graduated from forestry secondary school in Otočac. He has worked as a fisherman and in accommodation and food service. His hobbies include hunting, underwater fishing and music. In the Park he is working as an informer and ticket salesman at the Babić Siča entrance and in the technical service. He is living in Sveti Juraj.
Vladimir Lopac, hotelier-caterer
Born in 1984 in Senjska Draga (Perdasi). Graduated from Zagreb Tourism School, after which he worked in food and accommodation service and building. He plays football. Merried to Anita, has a son named Luka. In the Park he works in technical maintanance jobs. He is living in Senj.
General and Joint Services Department
General and Joint Services Department is in charge of administrative, human resources and legal affairs, finances, bookkeeping and accounting as well as cleaning of the National Park’s administrative offices and certain public areas. The Department employs three staff members.
Renata Devčić, graduated economist – head of Department
Born in 1970 in Garešnica. Graduated from the Faculty of Economy at the University of Zagreb in 1994. Worked on the Administration jobs of the Town of Novalja and accounting in private companies. Worked for two years in the Advisory office of the Employment service in Novalja. Since 2005 employed in Northern Velebit NP PI. She is living in Krasno.
